Marines displayed a man they claimed was a son of billionaire narco boss...Joachim 'El Chapo'/Shorty...Guzman, 55 (below foto).
It turns out...they were WRONG.
Now...painfully so.
The young man trotted out prominently for the media...is a...never arrested, used car salesman.
He was finally identified...by his mother as Felix Beltran Leon, 23...NOT Jesus Alfredo Guzman Salazar...'El Gordo'/fatty...the young son and alleged manager of Shorty Guzman's many assets.
Beltran Leon was arrested in his home Zapopan...near Guadalajara in Jalisco state.
The elder Guzman is Mexico's most wanted man...with a $7 million price tag on his head.
The ruling PAN party's candidate...Josefina Vasquez Mota...currently trails badly...in 3rd place.
Critics claim was a desperate trick by Calderon's PAN party to land a blow against Mexico's most wanted narco...before the 01 July election.
