PERU: Shining Path Hostage Debacle Claims 2 Ministers.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-18027687

Shining Path rebels have claimed 2 more victims.
This time they are cabinet ministers.
2 ministers resigned after a public clamor over their failure to tame the rebels...and help ambushed police.
Last month...a small group of the nearly extinct Shining Path rebels succeeded in capturing 36 pipeline workers...and then ambushing and killing 9 security officers...who had come to the rescue.
Worst of all...a rebel leader boasted about the ruse.
And...one wounded policeman was left to wander thru the jungle...for 17 days...looking for help.
Plus...a grieving father was forced to rescue his dead son's body from the jungle...all by himself.
Gone...are Interior Min. Daniel Lozada and Defense Min. Alberto Otarola.
The congress was preparing to censure them for the debacle.
