Massive numbers of voters appear to have submitted invalid ballots in an election to select 56 judges for the nation's top tribunals.
If preliminary numbers hold, it would be President Evo Morales' first defeat at the polls in 6 years.
Morales' popularity had slipped below 30% recently...after a violent clash with police and indigena protesters against an Amazon highway.
Reportedly...61% of voters submitted invalid ballots.
However...final results are not expected for 5 days.
