Ex-general Perez Molina, who has boasted of returning Guatemala to order from the narco reign of terror...leads a bunch of other unknown candidates...with 36% of the vote.
But 50% is needed...or a November runoff must be held.

FACTOIDS : The WSJ reports that Guatemala currently has a murder rate of 40 per 100,000; even narco plagued Mexico has a lower murder rate at 22 per 100,000.
Guatemala also has a poor prosecution rate for criminals...of just 3%.
