More fodder for widespread concern over corruption in President Dilma Rousseff's cabinet.
Tourism Minister Pedro Novais, 81, resigned after ongoing allegations that he misused public funds.
Newspapers reported that he used public funds to employ a maid and a driver for his wife while he was a congressman.
He denied accusations but quit to prepare his defense.
Last month...36 officials in his ministry were arrested on charges of misusing public money.
