     A good primer on Spain's current economic woes...with its 20% unemployment...after new austerity proposals...but without fundamental changes to its rigid labor laws.


AND : Lame duck PM Jose Luis Zapatero and his opposition have agreed to amend Spain's constitution with a balanced budget provision. It needs a 60% majority in both chambers...and is expected to pass before the 20 November election.
