ARGENTINA: Cristina Intervenes To End Grains Port Strike For 15 Days.

REUTERS/

A week-long strike that crippled soy and corn shipments and shut soy-crushing plants has ended by government order--for 15 days to encourage negotiations with company bosses who have so far refused to discuss wage hike demands.
Corn and soybean futures had advanced to 30-month highs  because of the strike by port workers.
An analyst said that "when the harvest's near and we're about to have grains pouring into port, it isn't a good sign that a supplier as important has these kind of problems."
