PERU: The Most Dangerous Buses In The World?
LAHT/ According to a December report, with problem roads and old vehicles, Peru has the highest death rate from traffic accidents in Latin America – 30 deaths per 10,000 vehicles annually. Add to the totals another bus crash Monday that killed 17 and injured 30 on a highway in north-central Peru. The Pampino company bus plunged into a ravine near the town of Tarica just before dark.
