VENEZUELA: Another Chavez Supporter Turns, Protesting Rampant Corruption.
GUARDIAN.UK/ Former soccer star Wilmer Azuaje is protesting against alleged corruption in President Hugo Chavez's inner-circle. Azuaje claims there is widespread corruption in Barinas where farms, businesses, banks and government contracts have been pocketed by the president's parents and five brothers. Venezuela places 162nd, alongside Angola and Congo, out of 180 countries in Transparency International's corruption perceptions index.
