MEDIA: Russia Launches English-Language Propaganda TV Channel.

GUARDIAN.UK/
Two decades after the end of Pravda, the Kremlin launched its own 24-hour English-language TV channel called "Russia Today"(RT). Available on satellite and cable in the UK, it gives a pro-Vladimir Putin view of the world to correct the "biased" western view offered by the BBC and CNN. In 2010, Russia will spend $1.4 billion on international propaganda – more than on fighting unemployment. In January, RT launches a Spanish service aimed at Latin America; RT already broadcasts in Arabic.
