Joel Shuler of Casa Brasil Coffees is working with the University of Lavras in Minas Gerais to map out the geographical boundaries of Brasil's coffee regions through distinct flavor profiling. Schuler is one of few hundred Certified Coffee Cupping Judges in the world. He cuts out the middle man in selling vacuum packed beans roasted fresh in Austin, while providing funds for educational, training programs and scholarships in Brasil, including one in conjunction with Whole Foods Market.
