Planning a trip in Latin America this summer?
A Mexico City organization has compiled a list of the most dangerous cities in the world...and Latin America leads the murderous pack!
The Citizen Council for Public Security, Justice and Peace reports that San Pedro Sula in Honduras tops its list...with 3.3 murders daily....followed by Acapulco...and then Caracas.
Torreon, Mexico is #5...and Nuevo Laredo is #8.
The council used 2012 crime stats.
There are some surprises.
Cd. Juarez and Monterrey don't make the top 10...but Torreon does.
And...Brasil's much lauded pretty beach city...Maceio, Alagoas (foto)...is #6...ahead of cocaine Cali, Colombia at #7...while northeast Brasil's Joao Pessoa...is #10.
