La Habana announced that beginning 14 January...the much loathed, expensive and often difficult to obtain foreign travel exit visa...will no longer be required.
Soon...only a passport...and a visa from the nation to be visited...will be necessary.
If true...it is an important change for Cubans.
But dissident blogger Yoani Sanchez...who has been denied travel visas over 20 times...now fears the government instead will make passports hard to obtain...to maintain its control.
