     Another 'pacification' raid by 2,000 special police/BOPE...of 2 Rio favelas...Morro do Jacarezinho and Manguinhos...left at least 5 suspected narcos dead.

     Police used helicopters and 13 armored vehicles to begin the clean-up of the notorious crack cocaine areas.
     51 suspected narcos were arrested before the raid.

     Police have been cleaning up shantytowns surrounding Rio...with mixed results...for months...ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
