As widely predicted...former KGB officer Gennady Gudkov turned protester...was expelled from the state Duma by an overwhelming vote of 293-150.
He broke with Putin's party 5 years ago.
Gudkov, 56...also loses his immunity from prosecution...and could face arrest for his anti-Putin activities.
He was charged with illegal commercial activities.
Gudkov's expulsion will no doubt chill the anti-Putin fervor of other legislators.
He may appear at an approved major opposition rally in Moscow is scheduled for Saturday.
