At least one protester was shot dead...and 8 wounded...in the Cauca region where the army retook a base it had abandoned Tuesday.
Then...some 1,000 indigena...fed up with their region's violence...literally dragged 30 soldiers from their posts there.
The Nasa people forced soldiers to abandon the base.
The army had moved its men to avoid a clash.
The indigena declare being tired of caught-up in the violent struggle between FARC rebels and the army.
