France and Bulgaria have banned the controversial 'fracking' method used to extract oil and gas.
The Brits have suspended it...and Germany is debating it.
There are many horror stories from the USA...of badly polluted ground waters and small earthquakes...where fracking was first perfected.
But in Poland...it is still full speed ahead...as a new report of one site claims the procedure did not pollute groundwater or the atmosphere.
Poland may have Europe's biggest shale oil/gas reserves...and is anxious to reduce its reliance on Russian gas and its abundant but dirty coal.
