The governor of Guerrero state fired 3 top officials...including a police chief and head prosecutor...following the deaths of 2 students during a confrontation with police near Chilpancingo.
Officials promise an investigation...while student groups call the deaths acts of "repression" and "murder".
Some 200-500 unarmed students and activists blocked the highway Monday demanding improvements and funding for a college in Ayotzinapa.
Police say weapons and grenades were found at the scene.
At least 24 were arrested...and several were injured.
A gas station pump was also set on fire.
Students accuse the police of planting weapons.
