Officials will finally investigate the brutal murders of 14 indigena shamans in the last 20 months in a remote Amazon region near Balsapuerto.
The healers of the Shawi tribe were murdered separately...allegedly for a local evangelical mayor.
The Roman Catholic church there reported the deaths of 7 shamans whose bodies have not been found.
No arrests have been made.
