For 3 days...more than 400 police raided some 60 brothels in the Amazon region...and rescued 293 girls and women from sexual exploitation.
Some 10 minors...the youngest just 13...were rescued.
At least 5 people were arrested in Puerto Maldonado for human trafficking.
The region is known for illegal gold mining.
