An estimated 20,000-30,000 people marched in Bogota protesting government plans to reform education.
They object to further privatization of public universities.
Some people hurled stones in Bogota...and were met with water cannons and tear gas.
Marches were also held in other cities.
The protests mirror what's happening in Chile.
Since the Spring, students there have been demanding free education...and the end of for-profit institutions.
