Because many media are self-censoring any narco news...blogs and social networks have taken over the tasks of warning of local dangers.
One message said : "This is going to happen to all of those posting funny things on the internet. You better (expletive) pay attention. I'm about to get you."
The anonymously authored Blog del Narco is the best known web outlet posting news about drug violence...and mentioned in a warning message.
