Another day...another massive protest in the streets of Santiago.
Weekly protests there over education reforms have frequently turned into tear gas and water drenched battles with police...with mass arrests of students and young people.
But President Pinera's government continues to take a hard line on the cost of reforms.
"Some say you have to forget about fiscal discipline in the face of social demands,” Minister Larrain said. “We won’t change our commitment by one millimeter and won’t abandon fiscal responsibility.”
