Amazon activist José Cláudio Ribeiro da Silva and his wife, Maria were killed on 24 May.
They had long opposed llegal loggers, cattle ranchers and charcoal producers in the remote Praia-Alta Piranheira area of Para state, where they lived.
Now...2 of 3 men suspected in their murders...have been arrested near Novo Repartimento.
