Today, the supreme court sentenced 4 former generals and an admiral to 10-15 years in prison for roles in the deaths.
Two former ministers were also jailed for three years each for "genocide".
After the deadly protests, President Sanchez de Lozada abruptly fled the country.
The government is seeking extradition of de Lozada and 7 of his minsters.
