Former leftist colonel Ollanta Humala, 49, was sworn in as Peru's president.
He caused a small ruckus when he pledged to support the 1979 constitution...not a redrafted 1993 version enacted by disgraced, imprisoned ex-president Alberto Fujimori.
Many Fujimori supporters shouted "Go home, now!"
Humala also announced a raise in the monthly minimum wage to $275...and promised to raise pensions for those 65 and older.
He said the measures would be funded by unspecified tax increases.
