In Barcelona, 2,000 anti-austerity protesters partially blocked entrance to Catalonia's parliament...forcing Catalan prime minister Artur Mas to use a police helicopter.
Police helicopters also took 25 other deputies and officials...in 8 flights...directly to the parliament after some MPs were shoved and heckled trying to enter.
The Catalan budget proposes a 10% cut in public spending and social welfare.
The protesters include a widespread youth movement called "los indignados"/the outraged ones.
