An embarrassing and rare public slip-up by econovore China...as Poland has cancelled a deal with the Chinese builder COVEC...to finish a key highway that links Warsaw with Germany...in time for the prestigious and important Euro 2012 soccer games.
COVEC's work on the 50 km/31 miles of highway A2 ended in May... after it failed to pay its Polish partners.
Poland is seeking $271 mn usd in compensation and penalties from COVEC... and wants it banned from work in Poland for three years.
