The CSM examines why narcos target rehab centers.

Another drug rehab invasion...this time in Torreon...has left a total of 13 dead.
Two were wounded...but died in the hospital.

Observers says narco gangs use rehab centers to recruit addicts and that prompts rival gangs to attack the centers.
"Drug cartels cannot afford to have a former member come clean, either about himself or, worse, his bosses. Because these young people can be quickly replaced, they are often killed in order to minimize this risk."

Dozens have been murdered at rehabs across Mexico. The worst was a Chihuahua city invasion last summer that left 19 dead.
There have also been murderous rehab invasions in Cd. Juarez and Durango.
