Legal and constitutional experts believe a new charter rushed thru in April... allows the ruling Fidesz party's two-thirds majority in parliament...to push through laws that could be impossible to overturn...and that "the principle of democracy itself is at risk".
They also said that social issues - the rights of the unborn and marriage between a man and a woman - "should be left to the ethical debates within society" rather than enshrined in the constitution.
