EL SALVADOR : Supreme Court Dissolves 2 Conservative Parties.

BBC

In a blow to some conservatives, the Supreme Court dissolved two dominant parties from the 1960s to the late 1980s.
In the 2004 presidential election, neither the CDP or the NCP won a minimum of votes required.
When terms of their mayors and legislators end, the two parties will disappear.
El Salvador is now governed by the former guerrilla group Farabundo Marti Liberation Front. The conservative National Republican Alliance is the opposition.
