BLOOMBERG/ L.Dantas

Price increases for services like bikini waxing make up 24.1% of Brasil’s inflation index.
They have outpaced all other categories in the past two months...rising by 8.57% through April.
It is the fastest pace in at least 15 years.
“We have one of the highest demands for waxing in the world because of our climate,”said a waxer. “We have summer all year, we’re always wearing bikinis and miniskirts.”
Shockingly, the average price for depilation rose 12.4% through April.

A Goldman Sachs analyst says: “Inflation will continue to make itself felt.”
He forecasts the Selic will rise...to 13.25%...by the end of 2011.
