The 20-year-old son of software tycoon Evgeny Kaspersky (pictured)...said to be the 125th richest man in Russia...was rescued in Moscow by police.
He was kidnapped Tuesday on the way to work.
The kidnappers reportedly told the elder Kaspersky not to contact the police...and demanded a ransom of 3mn euros/ $4.5 million usd.
Five were arrested including the suspected ringleader, a former convict.
Media say that officers promising a ransom lured kidnappers to a meeting.
Kaspersky's company sells anti-virus software and currently has a heavy TV advertising campaign underway here in Austin, a leading USA tech center.
Experts say that up to 300 children are kidnapped in Russia every year.
