It may be time to add to your coffee hoard.
Frost is predicted in Brasil after damaging hail earlier this month.
Weather problems in the world's largest coffee bean producer means a greater prospect for a 40% rise in bean costs.
In 1994, a frost damaged 35% of the crop there...meaning by 1997 prices shot-up 39%!
“If Brasil has a frost, not only will we see uncharted prices but the situation might become unbearable,”says a commodities analyst.
Brasil’s arabica crop will be 13% smaller than 2010.
Colombia's smooth arabica beans recently posted...a 34 year high.
