Author Ernesto Sabato, who led a probe of crimes committed by the dictatorship during the so-called "Dirty War" when 12,000 to 30,000 were killed by the government has been buried.
He was 99.
He described leading the crimes probe as "a slow descent into hell".
Sabato authored The Tunnel (1948), On Heroes and Tombs (1961) and The Angel of Darkness (1974).
He was buried with high praise.
Many called him "The Master."
