Some Mexican lawmakers want to ban the computer game "Call of Juarez: The Cartel," based on violent drug shootouts in Cd. Juarez between narco gangs.
"But we also should not expose children to this kind of scenarios so that they are going to grow up with this kind of image and lack of values," said Chihuahua congressman Ricardo Boone Salmon.
The game by france's Ubisoft Entertainment will be released late in 2011.
In one of the most violent weekends in Cd. Juarez history, at least 40 people were killed in Cd. Juarez since Friday.

Cd. Juarez's mayor also wants the video game set in his border city to be banned and may even sue the company for defamation.
“All of us Juarez residents join this effort. I believe that none of us enjoys having a video game going around here that shows the violence in Juarez, especially one that ends up in the hands of children, the young people,” the mayor said. “No one in their right mind can be against banning the release of this video (game),” said Mayor Hector Murguia.
