The opponents of President Sebastian Pinera have staged protests and questioned his claims of success after 2010's 8.8 quake that killed 524 people with 31 still missing and caused $30 billion in damage with some 220,000 families homeless.
Thousands of families still live in unheated flimsy wooden shacks without running water and sharing bathrooms.
