Cuba is helping the U.S. with data in the prosecution of
anti-Castro Cuban exile and former CIA operative Luis Posada Carriles, 82.
He is accused by Cuba of blowing up a commercial airliner that killed 73, planning a 1997 La Habana bombing campaign that killed an Italian tourist and attempting to assassinate Fidel Castro.
Now he is being tried in the U.S. and in El Paso-- but only for lying to Miami immigration officials 5 years ago.
"The CIA created and unleashed a Frankenstein," said Cuba watcher Peter Kornbluh."We unleashed him on the world."
In Miami, there's a radically different view.
"He's a hero," said his legal defense fund organizer Blanca Hidalgo. "He's the only living leader who continues the fight. If others had been like him, we wouldn't be in this situation."
