BOLIVIA: Raging River Sweeps Away Bus, Truck; At least 34 Dead.

NEWSONAIR/ INDIA/

The rain swollen Molle Punku River swept at least 34 people to their deaths by swamping a bus and a truck that tried to cross it near Pampahuasi.
Police report that at least 39 passengers were on the bus. Thirteen people managed to reach safety.
No bridge exists near where the vehicles were trying to cross.

Late to the game and with really nothing new to add, the NYTimes' Simon Romero recaps recent protests against a Evo Morales fuel increase.
