An explosion in a Pemex pipeline in San Martin Texmelucan has killed at least 28, injured 52 and forced hundreds to flee the city located 55 miles east of Mexico City.
The blast also destroyed 32 houses and damaged 115.
A spokesman speculates that thieves were trying to steal fuel.
A witness said “Many streets started to flood with fuel. There was a spark and there were rivers of fire.”
