AUSTIN, TEXAS: News About This News Blog: GOOGLE Claus Delivers Chrome For Test Drive; Some Surprizing Stats.

  E-Weekly Chrome OS 48 Review/

In a surprize delivery that arrived just before Christmas, the good folks at GOOGLE have selected this news blog to test drive the BETA version of their new CHROME OS 48 laptop computer.
The Boomer editor can now abandon his 12-year-old Power Mac desktop for the portability of a laptop with WiFi. It also comes with a built-in camera for Skype!
Visitors will have to bear along with some mistakes as we explore Chrome's capabilities.
Interestingly, there is no printed operations handbook for the computer. It is ALL in the CLOUD!

Also, unbeknownst to the editor, GOOGLE started tracking stats for this news blog on 1 July, 2010.
They reveal some surprizing results, especially when compared to those from LIJIT.
TOO often LIJIT has listed many visitors as "UNKNOWN."
And LIJIT's map recently started displaying ONLY a handful of the most recent visitors.
But unlike LIJIT,  GOOGLE lists visitors ONLY by country-- not with LIJIT's more detailed city info.
Anyway since JULY, GOOGLE reports that the U.S. leads in visitors here, followed by BRASIL and CANADA;  a complete surprize in fourth place are the SOUTH KOREANS! (환영) ; then ARGENTINA and the UK.
For December, the U.S. again places first in visitors, followed by another surprize, CROATIA (Dobrodošli!), then BRASIL, and CANADA.
Finally, a SHOUT OUT to all the REGULARS and early adopters who have visited this blog frequently from its beginning in May 2009 : especially those in Newark, Delaware; Sao Paulo, Rio, Mumbai, Singapore, La Paz, Lima, Bogota, Medellin, Caracas, Zurich, Budapest, Bucharest, Moscow, Buenos Aires and many, many other locales.
    To ALL in 2011:
A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR
¡FELIZ ANO NUEVO!  FELIZ ANO NOVO!
