MEXICO:1ST UPDATE: Number of Dead, Missing Drastically Revised In Oaxaca Landslide.
LINK CHANGE/ NYTIMES/ 28 SEPT/ An early report--- by Oaxaca's controversial lame-duck governor Ulises Ruiz that 300 homes were covered and 1,000 people were dead from a massive early morning landslide in the indigena village of Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec--- were highly overblown. It appears that only 11 people — three adults and eight children — were confirmed as missing while the landslide buried four houses and threatened 30 more.
