M.HERALD/ Fidel Castro, who turned 84 or 85 recently, has also turned surprizingly chatty.
Recently, he reluctantly admitted some responsibility for decades of gay oppression... because he was too busy with other things to respect their human rights; then Castro criticized Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for anti-Semitism and denying the Holocaust...and now admits that "the Cuban (economic) model doesn’t even work for us anymore." Fidel Castro told this recently to Jeffrey Goldberg, a writer for the Atlantic Monthly magazine.
