Argentina is finishing construction on a long delayed third nuclear power plant, and plans to build another two by 2025.
It hopes to provide 15% of power needs from nuclear sources by 2025, up from 6% today. That would reduce its dependence on shrinking natural gas and crude oil reserves, that now provide about 60% of Argentina's electrical power. Argentina's fuel imports have jumped 69% from January through July totalling $2.75 billion usd.
