Chile’s peso broke the 500 pesos per usd barrier for the first time since January after its GDP expanded by a surprizing 6.5% in Q2-- the fastest pace in five years. The peso is the world's fastest-rising currency this month, even beating gold. But some believe the peso has overshot its true value -- a range of 500 to 510--that is closer to its economy.
