MEXICO: Kidnapped PAN Pol. Fernandez De Cevallos Pens Note To Family Urging Payment.
LAHT/ Former 1994 PAN party presidential candidate Diego Fernandez de Cevallos, abducted on 14 May from his Queretaro ranch, has written a letter urging his family to negotiate with his captors. De Cevallos wrote to his son Diego: "I can’t describe to you the hell your father is experiencing and I don’t know how much longer I can take it. So I ask you to make your best efforts as quickly as possible....They (the kidnappers) have all the time in the world, they’re in no hurry.” The media report that the kidnappers want $30 million usd and that the family has recently sold several vehicles, vacation properties and other assets.
