The 83 or 84-year-old Castro's hour-long lecture about the threat of nuclear war aired Monday on a taped edition of the nightly "Mesa Redonda" TV program (aka in Miami as Mesa Detontas, table of fools). His speech was sometimes slurred but he appeared lucid, firm and relaxed. His appearance also stole some oxygen from the statements of 7 newly released dissidents in Spain.
