MEXICO: Officials Defend Copper Mine Strikers Crackdown.

LATIMES/    The government is defending its use of federal police to end a 3-year strike at the Cananea copper mine in northern Mexico. About 50 workers and their families camped out at the mine were forcibly removed. No injuries were reported, but union officials said tear gas and aggressive riot tactics were used.
