Gunmen killed 19 and wounded 6 in a private drug and alcohol treatment clinic in Chihuahua City Friday night. Dozens of armed men invaded the clinic that housed two dozen men ages 17 to 60. Similar attacks have taken place in Juarez including one in September that killed 18 people. Officials say drug treatment centers are targeted by drug gangs because many harbor addicts from rival groups or are used as hide-outs, recruiting grounds and drug-selling points. Also, 20 were found murdered in separate incidents in Cuidad Madero, a town on the Gulf of Mexico in Tamaulipas which borders Texas and is the stronghold of the Gulf narco gang currently at war with former allies Los Zetas, a band of Mexican special forces deserters turned outlaws.
