LATIMES/ FARC rebels released Pablo Emilio Moncayo, 31, one of Colombia's longest-held hostages. Moncayo, an army corporal, was seized in December 1997. This second recent release of a hostage may foreshadow further swaps between the leftists and President Alvaro Uribe. An estimated 22 police officers, soldiers and politicians are believed still held by FARC, in addition to hundreds of others being held simply for ransom.
